Dear Alumni,

Summer is heating up slowly but surely, and even though most students are gone for break, there is a buzz of activity happening on campus. We’re getting ready for the annual Summer in the City Alumni Reunion, July 10 to 12. Don’t miss out on the tour of the Harley-Davidson Museum, the fiesta and margarita cruise, the Great Circus Parade and more. Attend the annual alumni meeting on July 10 to elect new officers. Immediately following, John E. Duncan ’79 will receive the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award during the Raider Reception. Spots are still available but they’re filling up fast, so register today!

Sincerely,

Doing Business in ChinaDoing business in China
Graduate management students from MSOE's
Rader School of Business recently returned from an 11-day trip to China. Nine students participated in the program, called Doing Business in China, to gain first-hand experience and network abroad with Chinese business professionals, government officials and local leaders during corporate tours and meetings in Shanghai and Beijing. MSOE Associate Professor Dr. Carolyn “Kelly” Ottman designed and led the program. Click here for more information.

President's Golf OutingPresident's golf outing draws a crowd
Thanks to everyone who participated in the 27th Annual President's Golf Outing held at the Oconomowoc Golf Club. Guests enjoyed brunch, a beautiful day of golf, dinner and a live auction. Best of all, the money donated enables us to provide necessary scholarship dollars to support our students.

Lacrosse to be MSOE's 22nd sport

MSOE will add men's varsity lacrosse as the university's 22nd sport beginning in Spring 2010 according to Director of Athletics Dan Harris. "Lacrosse has rapidly gained popularity in the Midwest," said Harris. "During the past three seasons, we have seen growth in our club program and are ready to grant the team varsity status." Robin Buckley will be the team's head coach, a position he has held the past three years with MSOE's club program.
